Dimple Chopde
Economic Policy Analyst
Dimple Chopde is working as an Economic Policy Analyst in the Economics and Statistics Unit (ESU) in Bangalore.
She holds a Master’s degree in Economics from Azim Premji University, where her research focused on productivity gaps and structural differences between organized and unorganized sectors in India’s manufacturing economy.
Prior to joining CEGIS, she worked as a Research Assistant to Dr. Nitin Kumar Bharti at New York University Abu Dhabi, supporting research on inequality, public finance, and long-run economic trends across India and other low- and middle-income countries. She has also gained field and policy experience through internships with Professional Assistance for Development Action (PRADAN), the Centre for Policy Research (CPR), and FXB India Suraksha.
Her interests include engaging with a wide range of policy questions and exploring how evidence can inform policy design.
Outside of work, Dimple enjoys reading both fiction and non-fiction and often explores different genres across both. She also loves spending time outdoors in nature.
