CEGIS has been working with the Government of Karnataka since 2022 under a 5-year MoU. In keeping with the CEGIS theory of change and expertise, the Karnataka team has been actively engaged in providing specific inputs and insights to multiple departments such as Karnataka Administrative Reforms Commission - 2 (KARC-2), Women and Child Development (WCD), Rural Development and Panchayati Raj (RDPR) and the Health Department.
Our approach has involved a ground-up study where we start engagements by conducting field visits to various parts of the state with a view to understanding critical challenges on the ground by interacting with various frontline staff, departmental representatives, elected representatives, and members of the public.

Our current areas of focus in the state have been improving child and maternal nutrition status, strengthening rural governance and Health Department outcomes by improving data quality, enhancing the department's ability to make data-backed decisions, revenue augmentation, expenditure efficiency, and improving the productivity of frontline workers, all the while keeping in mind outcomes for beneficiaries.
